International Business Associates, commonly known as IBA, was established in 1975 by a group of experienced business brokerage professionals who believed that they could provide better customer service, market knowledge, transactional experience, and professional representation while maintaining confidentiality and employing “best practices” than was currently available to the Pacific Northwest business community. On this foundation of experience and principles, IBA has grown into the regional leader successfully facilitating over 4200 business sale transactions involving manufacturing plants, wholesale & distribution companies, technology firms, retail businesses, service companies, vocational schools, wineries & hospitality businesses, and professional practices.

Our primary historical venues for business have been the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho; however our reputation & representation has not been contained by those geographic boundaries with IBA professionals being hired on a consulting basis to negotiate and represent businesses as far east as Massachusetts and North Carolina and south as California and Arizona. IBA commonly represents sell side clients in transactions with enterprise values of $1 – $25 million.

Stephen Cohen has personally facilitated numerous transactions involving privately held companies. He is recognized for his knowledge & experience as a “sell side” broker in the education, retail, food service, health and wellness, and service industries. Mr. Cohen has held a real estate brokers license in Oregon & Washington since 2014 and has the ability to comprehensively represent entrepreneurs in the sale of their privately held companies and commercial real estate.
