Byron Stevens is a shareholder in the law firm of Karr Tuttle Campbell. He is based in the Portland office and practices in the firm’s Business & Finance Group.

Representing both buyers and sellers, in a wide range of structured mergers and acquisitions, Byron’s practice involves businesses and deals of all shapes and sizes covering a variety of industries. His work includes negotiating agreements, providing tax and compliance advice, as well as counseling clients on insurance and employment related issues. He has extensive experience working with state and federal governmental agencies for permitting and approval processes. As a former teacher, Byron prides himself on helping clients understand and navigate complex legal matters.

Byron also represents clients in an outside general counsel capacity. He works closely with these clients in all stages of the business life cycle, managing issues about corporate governance, securities law compliance, equity and executive compensation, protection of intellectual property, and general employment matters.
