Matt Bisturis helps companies and their owners navigate the legal challenges that come with establishing, growing, operating and eventually transitioning their businesses. Matt’s experience handling both business and real estate transactions allows him to provide valuable guidance to clients of all sizes and across various industries, with an emphasis in the real estate and construction sector and the manufacturing and distribution sector.

Matt particularly enjoys helping business owners apply transition planning strategies to maximize, capture and keep the illiquid wealth they have built in their closely held businesses. As a member of Schwabe’s Business Transitions Group, he has evaluated myriad options for passing businesses to new ownership and helped develop and implement creative transition planning techniques—ranging from management buyouts, transfers within the family, third-party sales involving strategic and financial buyers, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings that facilitate an expansion of ownership base.   Matt also enjoys working with the next generation of leaders in business as they acquire ownership and assume responsibility for operations and governance.

Matt holds a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation through the Exit Planning Institute.
